ABOUT US
At Rx we're not just serving seafood, we're growing it and catching it ourselves. Our farmed Lucy Bea oysters clean our waters and create habitats for marine life. Our focus on spearing the invasive lionfish restores balance in our ecosystem. Our revolutionary sourcing model redefines what it means to eat responsibly.
We began farming our Lucy Beas in June 2022 with leases in Topsail and Stump Sounds and have expanded our shellfish operation by farming clams and wild harvesting mussels. Our Lucy Bea oysters honor some of the things we love most: our saltwater-loving dogs, Lucy and Bea; the Wilmington waterways; and supplying delicious locally-farmed oysters to our community and beyond. Enjoy them half price on the half shell Wednesday - Friday from 5-6pm.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our oyster farm. Using sustainable spearfishing and hook-and-line methods, we carefully harvest lionfish, grouper, snapper, hogfish, spiny lobsters, and others, allowing us to harvest responsibly while also putting the freshest catch on your plate.
Owner/operators Chef James and Sarah Doss personally spear the fish for diners, and adventurous staff members frequently work shifts offshore or on the farm.
