ABOUT US
At Rx, we don't just serve local seafood, we grow, catch and harvest much of it ourselves.
We started farming our own Lucy Bea oysters in June 2022 with leases in Topsail and Stump Sounds. Our Lucy Beas honor some of the things we love most: the outdoors, and our saltwater-loving dogs, Lucy and Bea. Oysters create habitat for marine life and clean our waters, filtering up to 50 gallons of water per oyster, per day.
Besides farming Lucy Beas, we also farm littleneck clams and wild harvest Atlantic ribbed mussels, chowder clams, and wild oysters in season.
*Enjoy our Lucy Beas 1/2 price on the half shell every Wednesday-Friday from 5-6pm.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our oyster farm. We’ve also obtained our commercial fishing license and target sustainable and underutilized species, like the invasive lionfish, in hopes of helping to restore balance in our local ecosystem.
In addition to lionfish, we also catch/spear grouper, snapper, hogfish, spiny lobsters, and others using sustainable spearfishing and hook-and-line methods, allowing us to harvest responsibly while also putting the freshest catch on your plate.
Owner/operators Chef James and Sarah Doss personally spear the fish for diners, and adventurous staff members work shifts offshore or on the farm.
